Is File Prepared 1-Up?

Any print job that is to be completed at TCC needs to be provided to us ONE UP as we Impose (batch) the file in order to print the maximum number of copies on one over-sized sheet.

Image A is an example of the wrong file format for our use. Customer probably used a template to place 10 cards on an 8.5″ x 11″ sheet (and, they have a bleed that is not properly formatted in the layout!). This file is not printable and must be reformatted like Image B below. This illustration uses business cards as the example, but any document containing more than one copy of the file on it is unacceptable.

Image B is the correct way to provide us a file. One single copy of the file scaled to it’s finished dimensions. This particular file’s dimensions are 3.5″ x 2″ with a .125″ bleed (overall dimensions are 3.75″ x 2.25″). This allows us to maximize the number of copies on a sheet and allows for more efficient cutting and finishing.

Any file modification that is undertaken by us will be charged at $80.00 per hour with a minimum of $20.00
